4 Day, 3 Night Group Tour Itinerary

Day 1

11:00 AM  Kick off your adventure beginning with a Meet and Greet at the Destination Door County visitor center in Sturgeon Bay.

11:30 AM  Enjoy lunch at one of many fine local establishments. 

1:00 PM  Explore the area’s rich Belgian heritage when you embark on a narrated bus tour of the largest Belgian settlement in the United States. Belgian Settlement Tours offers a 3-hour tour that begins in southern Door County and ends at the Shrine of Our Lady of Good Help. Reservations are required. 

4:00 PM  Check into your hotel for a little R&R. 

5:30 PM  Savor the flavor that brings people back year after year when you attend a Door County Fish Boil at Mill Food & Spirits. Steeped in Scandinavian tradition, this unique Door County experience features locally caught whitefish served with red potatoes, carrots, onions, coleslaw, rye bread, and fresh-baked cherry pie.

7:30 PM  Immerse yourself in the art and culture scene that’s unique to the area with a delightful evening at the Third Avenue Playhouse. From intimate professional theater in the 84-seat Studio Theater to concerts in the 250-seat main stage along with performances by TAP’s resident children’s theater company, StageKids, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. 


Day 2

8:00 AM  Arrive at the Scaturo's Baking Co. & Cafe for breakfast. Located in Sturgeon Bay, the restaurant offers a delicious and hearty breakfast in a fun and casual setting. 

10:15 AM Depart for Gills Rock where you will board the Island Clipper over to Washington Island. 

10:30 AM  Visit the Washington Island Art and Nature Center located in a historic, 100-year-old schoolhouse. Browse the art gallery which displays and sells original works diverse in both topic and medium including acrylics, oils, watercolors, photography, sculpture, computer arts, and carving. Stroll through the Nature Center for a unique learning experience featuring live snakes, frogs, a 180-gallon fish tank home to native species, and an observation beehive.

11:30 AM  Venture over to the Washington Island Farm Museum where you'll interact with farm animals, learn about the history of farming equipment, and view photos of early farm life in Wisconsin. 

12:30 PM  Take a break for lunch. 

1:30 PM  Explore one of the Midwest’s largest lavender farms at Fragrant Isle Lavender Farm & Shop. Walk the fields and learn about lavender and its many benefits in everyday life. Peruse their gift shop or grab a scrumptious treat from their Le Petit Bistro. 

2:15 PM Head down the road to Island Lavender at the Historic Island Dairy. Here you will enjoy endless fields of lavender, tour the stavkirke, and wander their gift shop. 

3:30 PM  Return to the Island Clipper and travel back to the mainland. 

4:30 PM  Stop at Island Orchard Cider in Ellison Bay. Using apples grown and harvested on Washington Island, you’ll enjoy a tasting of several dry, refreshing and crisp ciders. Don’t forget to take home some with you! 

5:30 PM  Have dinner at Mr. G's Logan Creek Grille where you can choose from a variety of signature dishes, burgers, sandwiches, steak, fish, pasta, and more! 

7:00 PM  Arrive at the Door Community Auditorium, the area’s only year-round performing arts and entertainment center located in Fish Creek. From symphony performances to original theater, folk-rock, jazz and more, the Door Community Auditorium has something everyone will appreciate. 


Day 3

10:00 AM  Step back in time at the Door County Historical Museum with educational displays detailing the history of Door County from initial settlement forward. Named “the best small museum in the Midwest” by the Chicago Tribune,  the museum boasts an eclectic blend of local history including a restored 1920 Oldsmobile fire truck, historic street scene, and “Seasons of Life” wildlife diorama containing over 100 species of native wildlife.

12:00 PM  Enjoy lunch Mojo Rosa's in Egg Harbor where you can indulge in delicious Mexican fare, burgers, pizza, and more. 

1:00 PM  Climb aboard the Door County Trolley for a delightful afternoon on the Wine Trail. Scheduled stops at Lautenbach’s Orchard Country Winery & Market, Simon Creek Vineyard & Winery, and the Door Peninsula Winery allow you to sample and savor a taste of the region that has won awards and captured the taste buds of connoisseurs everywhere. 

4:00 PM  Return to the hotel for R&R or take a leisurely stroll through any local historic shopping district where you’ll be sure to find galleries, boutiques, and specialty shops of all kinds. 

6:00 PM  Make the last evening of your trip something special with dinner at The English Inn. From choice steak to king crab legs, lobster, duck, and pasta, The English Inn is proud to welcome guests with a fine dining experience nestled in northern Fish Creek across from Peninsula State Park.

7:00 PM  A night of R&R or a chance to explore as you wish. Check the event calendar for up-to-date information and additional details. 


Day 4

9:00 AM  Enjoy a delicious field-to-table experience for breakfast at The Cookery Restaurant & Wine Bar in Fish Creek. Certified as a Travel Green Wisconsin business by the Department of Tourism, The Cookery uses fresh, local ingredients and sustainable practices to lessen their environmental impact and yours! 

10:00 AM  Gather everyone for a one-of-a-kind experience at the Hands On Art Studio before you head home. Paint ceramics, throw a pot, create a sculpture, make a mosaic, and more! Create your own Door County keepsake or a special gift. 

12:00 PM Enjoy one last experience before heading home at Plum Loco Animal Farm. Wander the grounds while animals come up to greet you, relax in the wide open space and learn a little about the farm and its animals.
